Modeling Stress-precipitated Smoking Behavior for Medication Development

What is the purpose of this trial?

To examine whether guanfacine, a noradrenergic agent, shown to be effective in improving stress-induced decrements in self-control using pre-clinical models, will attenuate stress-induced reinstatement to drug use and will attenutate the ability of stress to precipitate smoking lapse behavior

Ages: 18 - 60 years
