David M Greer, MD, MA, FCCM, FAHA, FNCS, FAAN

Dr. Greer is the Dr. Harry M. Zimmerman and Dr. Nicholas and Viola Spinelli Professor of Neurology and Professor of Neurosurgery and the Vice Chairman of Neurology at the Yale School of Medicine. He trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital in neurology, with specialized fellowship training in stroke and neurocritical care. His special interests include coma and disorders of consciousness, ischemic stroke, and neurocritical care.  A national leader in coma research, his work has revolutionized the way hospitals throughout the United States approach coma and the diagnosis of brain death.

Eliezer J Sternberg, MD

Dr. Sternberg is a resident neurologist at Yale–New Haven Hospital. With a background in neuroscience and philosophy, he studies how brain research can shed light on the mysteries of consciousness as well as improve care for patients who suffer from coma and epilepsy. He is the author of several books on the brain, including Are You a Machine?, My Brain Made Me Do It, and most recently, Neurologic: The Brain's Hidden Rationale Behind Our Irrational Behavior.

Emad Nourollah-Zadeh, MD, MSc

Dr. Nourollah-Zadeh is a neurologist at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a fellow in the Department of Neurocritical Care and Emergency Neurology.  Aside from coma care and prognostication, his research interests include stroke and stroke intervention as well as the care of critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.
